Mystic is available in four distinct colors:
We recommend Mystic be applied over a black basecoat for the most dramatic effects, however it can also be applied over any of our other basecoat colors to a achieve a softer (more pearlescent) yet still intense color change. The color possibilities are endless. |
Mystic is mixed with an extremely high pigment concentration, meaning it can be reduced anywhere from 1:1 to 1:3 and still achieve a dramatic color-change effect. For the first time in paint history we are introducing the newest and most beautiful Color shifting paint as a VERY AFFORDABLE practical coating, at 1/10 the price of other companies

Q. What is Mystic Chameleon Like?
A. Mystic Chameleon Like is an angle dependent optical shift paint meaning the color you see will be dependent on the viewing angle.
Q. How is Mystic reduced?
A. Mystic mixes 1:1 with medium reducer - that's right 1:1 meaning for the price of 1 gallon you really have 2 gallons making Mystic the lowest priced chameleon ever available.
Q. How many coats are needed?
A. This would depend on the desired effect for example:
Just one coat will allow you to see more of the background color where a second coat will fill it in giving a more predominant flop effect.
Q. What color basecoat should it go over?
A. The most dramatic effect will be achieved over a black basecolor, using a lighter base will result in very elegant pearl effects, the darker the shade the more dramatic the flop effect.

Application Guide
How To Apply Mystic:
Step 1 - Begin by prepping the piece as you would any other paint job. (Sand, Prime, etc.)
Step 2 - Basecoat the piece with your choice of colors. (Recommend black for most dramatic color flop.)
Step 3 - Reduce your Mystic 1:1 with (AMR2712) medium urethane reducer.
Step 4 - Apply Mystic with a light to med. wet coat. (Allow to dry 10-15 min.)
Step 5 - Apply any of Alsa's Clears or your choice of topcoat.
